MEET Brian Matlin Owner & Founding Attorney
BIOGRAPHY
Brian Matlin has dedicated his life to serving others and giving back to his community. His passion for helping everyone who crosses his path led him to wanting to open up his own law firm where he can personally promise client-centered service and optimal outcomes. The personal injury industry is full of law firms that only care about money and their own egos, Brian simply cares about serving and making everyone happy. Brian does not trust the insurance industry and knows that him and his entire team are able to defeat the insurance companies so that they cannot take advantage of people in his community.
Brian went to school at the university of Colorado Boulder for undergrad where he made it in psychology and then went to the university of Denver Sturm College of law where he graduated in 2019. After graduating law school he was hired by a large nationwide law firm where he was in charge of running their entire Colorado branch where he did this for a year before deciding to open up Matlin Injury Law in August 2020.
Brian fully embraces the work to live embodiment where his family will always come first. He’s married to a beautiful wife named Darden and together they have two sons and a dog. While they’re home bodies and enjoy staying at home and watching movies and hanging out together, they do like going on family trips together, going on hikes, trying new restaurants, and simply just being together as a family.

Brian Matlin built his law firm around one simple idea: you deserve a lawyer who actually cares about you. His career has always been driven by service. He opened Matlin Injury Law so you get real attention, honest communication, and outcomes that put your needs first. The personal-injury space is crowded with firms chasing money and recognition. Brian cares about people. He fights because insurance companies cut corners, and he refuses to let them take advantage of anyone in his community.
Brian studied psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder before earning his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2019. He started hi s career running the Colorado office of a nationwide injury firm. After a year, he knew he wanted something different—something more personal—so he launched Matlin Injury Law in August 2020.
Brian builds his practice around a “work to live” mindset. Family leads everything he does. He’s married to Darden, and they have two sons and a dog. They love being home together—movies, slow nights, simple time as a family—but they also enjoy trips, hikes, and trying new spots around Colorado.
